The water was clean but cold all seven days. We stayed below 60 degrees. The only bait around were Glass minnows. Squid have yet to arrive in numbers, but it shouldn’t be much longer. The following species were caught, Red Drum, Whiting, Flounder, Bluefish Bonita and Shark.
This is what the pier looked like part of the week:
Flounder were still around with a few caught daily. Most were under size. Bull minnows and plastics worked on a jig head were productive.
There were only a few Red Drum hooked with a couple landed. Terry H. decked an upper-slot Friday that was 26.5 inches. Guess what was for dinner. Ghost Shrimp was the bait of choice.
Friday was a miserable weather day that started cold and windy. As the day progressed the wind increased and added rain. However, if you were willing to brave the elements, you would have fun with Bonita. Brenda put 15 on the deck along with a few other anglers who added to the catch. Here are shots of Paul, Brenda, Terry and a shot of one of the coolers.
